Dear Family and Friends,
Well, summer is here and we pray that all is well in your families and that our Lord Jesus is blessing your lives.  It is hard to believe that a month has already gone by.  We have another blessing to share with you.  As you remember we had our first graduate from the recovery home last month.  We have our second one this month.  Zack Nicholas, age 23, is our first younger man to finish his six months at the clean and sober recovery home.  Not only has Zack been clean and sober for six months, but through this his Mom has come to church a few times and now his Dad has come too.  Total families are seeking God through your prayers and faithful giving.  The Lord is good and we give Him praise!
Not only do we see lives getting changed here. many of you may remember when we were in Ramona a young man named Brian lived with us for a few months.  Well, five years later he is doing well and I had the privilege of officiating his wedding this past month.  He married a very sweet girl and is getting his life on track.  We got a chance to visit with some of the men in the recovery home in Ramona.  We also were able to visit the adult daycare center that we were involved in for five years while living in Ramona.  Golgotha Ministries has touched many lives throughout the years and it is exciting to see the fruit of our labor--yours included, through your prayers and support--and we want to say a very heartfelt thank you!!  God tells us that through Him all things are possible and we do believe that.
In His Love,
Will, Kim, and Cori Heck

Dear Family and Friends,
The sun has come back and it is warming up on the Central Coast. We pray the Lord’s Son is shining His love upon you and we hope to see a powerful move of God’s love in your lives. Here at Golgotha we are doing well. The Lord is good and He seems to always be here at the right time. I have kind of a funny story I want to share.

I was out on the streets this last month and it was storming and raining so I really wanted to get some hot food and dry socks to the men and women living outside. I always take at least one person with me. My daughter, Cori, usually comes with but she was out of town and everyone else that usually helps was unavailable, so I went by myself. The rain kept all the people hidden out at the parks so I thought I would go to the day shelter, in San Luis Obispo, to see if anyone went there to get dry or get food. Well I usually put the burritos in a backpack and Cori does the same with the socks and the waters. Anyway, I was alone and just carried the bag of about 100 socks and a roll away cooler that keeps the burritos warm. As I walked into the courtyard I found about 100 to 150 homeless, wet, and hungry people and I knew I was in trouble. As I tried to hand out one burrito and one pair of socks the people realized I did not have enough for everyone. Within about 15 seconds I was rushed and pushed out of the way and everything was gone! I have not experienced that since I was in the ghettos of San Diego.

Now you might get mad at these people and ask me why we help people that are so rude. Jesus said, “When I was hungry, you fed me and when I was naked you clothed me.” You see, this is all about Jesus, nothing more than being obedient and showing them the love of Jesus. So, we press on in the mission Jesus has called us to—Love as He loves, especially those who may not love back, for that is the only love they may ever know—the only glimpse of Jesus they may ever see.
