Who We Are

Harvest Bible Fellowship is a Christian church in Avila Beach, CA. Harvest is a church that is filled with people who are terrible sinners saved by an amazing grace. We are not perfect, nor do we pretend to be. But, we do love Jesus, and we strive to follow him and to proclaim the Good News of salvation in all we do. So, if you are, like us, a person who is not perfect and is looking for answers in this life, then Harvest may be a good fit for you. Click here to read our statement of faith (what we believe).

What To Expect On Sunday Mornings

On Sunday mornings we meet at 10:00 am in the Avila Beach Community Center, which is nicely located in the heart of Avila Beach (191 San Miguel Street). We provide children's church for kids, and a time of worship, prayer, and Bible study for adults. The atmosphere at Harvest is casual - we encourage people to come as you are and as you feel most comfortable.

We do not offer a mid-week service. This is intentional on our part. We believe that the Church is meant to be both a gathered and a scattered community. This means that, as a community,the Church is meant to both come together as one body (gathered) to celebrate Jesus and the reality of the Gospel, and also to go out into the world (scattered) and to live out our faith openly as a mission-minded community.

So, instead of a gathered service during the week, we have community groups. Community groups are a way for us to scatter into smaller groups that can meet throughout the surrounding area throughout the week. Community groups provide a way for us to meet as a church on a smaller, more real and authentic level, to live life together, to challenge each other, and to grow in our understanding of the Gospel and how it applies to all of life. The community groups are a great way to meet people within the church and for your faith in Jesus and your understanding of the Gospel to grow on a deeper level.

How To Get Plugged In

We encourage you to get involved in a Community Group. As described above, the Community Groups are a vital part of who we are as a church. You can email the church office at avilaharvest@gmail.com or call us at (805) 627-1508 for the locations and times of the groups.
